I loved this place. The people working were very friendly, and efficient. The burger I got was excellent, it was a double cheeseburger. My only regret was that it was so small. I almost bought another one, but pretty clearly I don't need it. Average Ma and Pa fast food. Nothing to write home about. The shakes are good, but small in size. The teens and college staff running the joint are busy fulfilling orders, but not very friendly. The girl who took our order seemed bugged and impatient with my family's order. They got our entire order wrong missing two burgers and three large fries. Very frustrating, but it is minimum wage mentality, so you can't expect much. There are better options out there. Usually these small establishments are much more conducive to that family friendly feeling. Not here. Brad's Food Hut always had been and will always be, a sure bet. Great prices, awesome food and super customer service. It has been a pillar of the community for decades. One of the few Cedar City icons still around and well with the stop.

Came in right as they opened and the staff was nice but seemed a bit annoyed we were ready to order 2 minutes after opening but not a big problem but the food here is just not good, the burger is something you get in a middle school cafeteria, store bought bun, not the freshest veggies and the meat is obviously cheap. The burger had mayo or white sauce as they call it and it gave the burger a sour taste that was just not good, the onion rings were charred in the old oil beyond recognition along with the so called “British” chips that were just overcooked home fries. This place has to rely on nostalgia or something because a McDonald’s burger is gourmet compared to the burger I was served. There are plenty of other places to eat but I was from out of town and didn’t know better. Anyone who says these are good burgers obviously have never eaten another burger from any place else. I hate to have to leave a bad review and it does not happen often with me. I have eaten at Brad's many times before and had great experiences . It was my go to when I didn't feel like cooking. Unfortunately last night Sep 15 2023 changed my view of Brad's. The dinner rush was normal for Brad's and we waited in line for 40 min. This was not an issue since that is to be expected during the dinner rush. The people working were nice and I did not have an issue with the service. What I had an issue with was the size of the burger. As we were leaving my wife checked the order and to our suprise the burger was the saddest looking burger I had ever seen. This is NOT normal for Brad's. The burger was so thin that I had to switch to metric to measure it. We turned around and went back since this was not right. When we got back to Brad's it was acknowledge that the burger did look sad. We were given the excuse that it was busy and sometimes the burgers get smashed too much, then we're told it was new cooks and that the burgers were better earlier in the day. I have been to Brad's at different times and never have the burgers been anywhere close to this bad. Unfortunately I am left to assume that the other people that were in line for 40 + min were experiencing the same shock when they opened their bags. Overall not a great experience. Brads is a good burger joint with flavorful burgers. They've also got really good English chips. Service us great. The building is older but it has decent space to sit and enjoy a dinner. Prices are great as well. We compared them to a local restaurant that's similar. Keep reading if you want comparisons. We decided to compare food for Hermies and Brad's. We've been to both and enjoy both but never compared them directly. We got a cheeseburger and English chips from both. We also got shakes from Hermies. Brads won hands down on burgers and chips. The burger was better seasoned and had good sauce and the chips were crispier, though neither were incredibly seasoned, so maybe I'd grab some salt next time. Brad's prices were also slightly lower. Hermies shakes win the ice cream though. You can add multiple flavors without a large charge. Brads was .50 per add in. We also preferred the fry sauce at Hermies. You won't lose with either place. They're both good burger joints, one I'd go to if I was really wanting a burger, the other I'd hit up for the ice cream. Next time we're going to compare regular fries because my husband remembers Hermies fries being really good.
